Your mission

Topic: Synthesis of drug delivery carriers

Drug delivery offers the advantage of targeted delivery and release of drugs at the site of infection, thereby reducing unwanted side effects and increasing effectiveness of the antimicrobial substance. The Research Group Drug Delivery is designing and testing novel drug deliver approaches to overcome pharmacological issues of drugs and broaden the pipeline of anti-infective therapies.

The main topics will be:
1.    Organic synthesis of drug carrier systems
2.    Purification and analytical characterization of the synthesized compounds

Your profile

Applicants should be interested in organic and analytical methods (e.g. NMR, LC-MS). Practical lab experience and basic knowledge in organic synthesis are preferred (e.g. late B.Sc. Chemistry or early M.Sc. Chemistry/Chemical Biology). We also expect excellent abilities to work in an international team. The work will be done on an hourly basis in a very well-equipped laboratory. The expected hourly volume is flexible and the position is initially limited for four months.
